Property Reels

Property Reels from the same project as the listing video.

A Reel is not a landscape video cropped in a panic. It is a vertical cut with a clear first second, readable details and the rooms that earn the viewing. PropertyCuts renders that 9:16 file from the project you already built.

Design the vertical cut on purpose

Instagram Reels, TikTok and Stories are 9:16. A wide exterior will lose the sides. Preview the vertical cut and make sure the house, the kitchen or the view is still the subject, not a thin slice of sky.

Lead with the image that explains the property. Put the price and the place on screen early enough that someone scrolling still catches them. Then two or three rooms and, if you have it, the floor plan.

  • 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Stories
  • Subject in the centre of the frame
  • Price and location readable without a caption
  • Short enough that the best room is not at the end

Do not rebuild the listing edit

The media, the template and the branding are already chosen for the landscape film. The Reel should inherit them. Recreating titles in a phone app is how the logo drifts and the price goes out of date.

Select the vertical cut alongside landscape and square when you render. You are publishing the same property, not starting a second production.

What makes a property Reel fail

Too many similar rooms, details too small to read, and a first frame that could be any house. Vertical video is unforgiving of wide, empty compositions and of text sat on a busy photo.

If the still is the wrong shape, pick a tighter image for the open rather than forcing the facade into a portrait crop. The guide to video sizes covers the other channels in the same pass.

Questions

What size is a property Reel?

Vertical 9:16. That is the cut to render for Instagram Reels, TikTok and Stories.

Can I make the Reel and the portal video together?

Yes. They are formats of the same project.

Do I need a vertical shoot?

No. You can build the Reel from photos and clips you already have. Check the crop in the preview.
