How to use floor plans inside property marketing videos

Why a floor plan belongs in a property video, and how to include it so it stays readable on a phone.

The plan answers a question the photos cannot

Viewers can see that a kitchen is attractive and still have no idea where it sits. The floor plan is how they test the property against their life: stairs, gardens, a bedroom over the road. Leaving it out of the video sends them back to another tab, and many will not go.

A few seconds of a clean plan, after the rooms it refers to, is enough. You are not teaching draughting. You are letting someone orient themselves.

Readable beats detailed

Plans drawn for print are often too fine for a phone. Thick walls, clear room names and not much furniture win. If you have a simplified marketing plan and a technical plan, use the marketing one in the video.

On a vertical cut, a wide plan becomes small. Preview 9:16. If the labels vanish, use the plan only in the landscape cut, or crop to the floor that matters.

Where to place it in the sequence

After the viewer has seen the main spaces, not before. A plan with no pictures yet is a diagram. A plan after the kitchen and the living room is a map of somewhere they have started to want.

In PropertyCuts the plan is just another asset in the project. You do not animate it in a separate graphics tool before it is allowed into the video.

When the plan changes

Plot variations and corrected surveys happen. Because the plan is a file in the project, you replace it and render again. You should not be hunting for a title clip inside an old timeline.

Say which floor you are showing if the home has more than one, and do not stretch a portrait plan to fill a landscape frame. Empty margin is better than a distorted layout.

Make one from the photos you have.

Upload the media, choose a template, and render the cuts you need.

Questions

What file should I upload?

A clear image or PDF export of the marketing floor plan. Prefer a version with readable room names at phone size.

Should every video include a plan?

Include it when you have a legible one. A bad plan is worse than none, because it looks like the layout is confusing.
